Happy Birthday Becca

Becca had her 2nd birthday on Oct 3rd. We were in Utah for Mark and Abby's wedding so she got to spend the day with Grandma DeFriez and she really liked that. In Utah we had a little get together with the family before everyone left. We had Becca and Peter open gifts together. They both thought it was cool.
In Arizona we had her party on the 9th and we did a princess party cause Becca loves princesses. It turned out really good. We played pin the crown on the princess and the girls thought that was fun. Then we had cake and ice cream and Becca opened presents then we just talked as the girls played. Thanks everyone for coming and for the wonderful gifts. Here are some pictures of the fun we had.

It is coming to the end of summer and we have had so much fun. Grandma DeFriez and Heidi came and visited for a couple of days and that was a blast. Mark moved down to Thatcher AZ and we miss him lots.
We went to a birthday party and Becca got to ride a horse. She LOVED every min of it. Becca is growing more and more each day. She is starting to talk more and trying out new words. It is so much fun watching her learn. She is really into horses right now. We go down to the fair grounds almost every night so she can pet the horses.
Other than that not much is going on. I am still working on getting my preschool up and going. It is getting closer everyday. Right now I am still out at the park and Becca gets to come out with me. Michael is still working at CCC and we are looking into sending him back to school in Jan. Well here are some pictures enjoy

Catching Up

Well lots has been going on here in the DeWitt home. Mark is staying with us for the summer and is working out at the Petrified Forest National Park and Becca loves having him around. She will miss him lots when he goes back to school. Becca has to wear glasses now because her right eye turns in. It has been interesting getting her to wear them. We have finally found a way that works. When she wears them all day she gets a ball. So far it has worked :) She is now the queen of balls. We have been working on projects in the house to get my preschool up and running (will post pictures of that later) I am very excited to be doing a preschool out of my home. It is like a dream come true and we are so close to being there. Anyhow not much else is going on we are enjoying the rain and just hanging out as a family.

We went to the lake and found out that Becca LOVES the water. She just wanted to jump right in.

Surprise Visit

Last week we had a surprise visit from Grandma and Grandpa DeFriez. It was so very exciting to have them down for a couple of days. We went to the Petrified Forest it was dads first time out there. Other than it being very windy we had a good time. We spent I think 4 1/2 hours out there. Here are some pictures of the fun we had at the park. Thanks for coming Grandma and Grandpa, Becca loved having you and so did Michael and I :)

This is a mural that is painted on the wall at the Painted Desert Inn. It was painted by the famous Hopi Artist Fred Kabotie. This one is called the Buffalo Dance.
