Sorry no picture this time. I am now 37 weeks and I am on bed rest and can only get up to use the bathroom. So this is the story I woke up and my feet were swollen huge and it was really hard to walk. I didn't think too much of it cause your feet will do that when you are going to have a baby. Well they got worse so I called the doctor and they told me to go and get my blood pressure checked. So we went over to Safeway and got it checked it said I was 144/85 which is high. So I was just going to call them in the morning and let them know but then I started getting really light headed so I called the doctor at 8 pm and told him about my feet and blood pressure and he told me to get to the hospital cause he was afraid I had toxemia which can make me have a stroke and kill the baby. So off to the hospital we went. They were really nice there. They took my blood pressure and it was 144/95 this time so they hooked me up to monitors and stuff to monitor the baby. She was fine moving around and her heart was very strong. Well then I started to have contractions so they thought I might go in labor so they watched me for a little while but there was no pattern to them. They did some test to make sure I didn't have toxemia. They then checked to see if I was dilated which I am not but I am very soft. Well the test came back neg. so then they monitored me and the baby for another hour. Well in this hour they had talked to my doctor and he said to give me some high blood pressure pills and if we can keep my blood pressure down he would like the baby to decide when to come but if we could not then he would induce me next week. The nurse came back and my contractions had gotten stronger and there was a little bit of a pattern this time. So she went and talked to the head nurse who called my doctor and he said to send me home but to keep and eye on things and then come see him tomorrow. I did have lots of contractions last night but not hard enough to go back to the hospital. Before I left the hospital they gave me a pill to keep my blood pressure down. Went to the docs today and my blood pressure was 126/85 above normal but not high so the pill worked. I have to take two of these pills a day I am on bed rest can only get up and use the bathroom. It hurts really bad to walk cause my feet are so big. The doctor told Michael how to massage my feet to draw the fluid away or something like that. It seems to help. My left ankle gives me pain where I had surgery but other than that my feet just feel like they are going to pop any sec. I have to go to Safeway everyday and check my blood pressure to make sure it doesn't go back up.
So that is my story of the week. I will try to keep everyone posted. Hopefully the pills keep working and things go well and Becca can decide when to come.
